the Imfamous Kullu Dushhera

“Jai Shri Ram…”

Wish every temple had such view

The holy pole.

The womb of the temple.

The imfamous gold idol of Ram.

Though Dushhera is a big deal in Kullu yet there is no unnecessary ceremony and blockades on roads. For the morning prayer, only a few locals join and it seems it is any other day untill afternoon, when the main procession starts.

Morning Aarti…

Every Dushhera, almost 300 Gods visit Lord Raghuram for blessings. Such processions are mainly from the nearby towns and those who don’t know, for this very reason Kullu is famous as the Valley of Gods.

Simplicity in local fairs.

A view from the top.

The main Palki of Lord Raghuram. The procession starts from Raghuram Mandir in Kullu to Dhalpur Maidan. Thousands of people join the procession from nearby places.

“Dhol ko bhi aaram chaiye hota hai….”

Let there be peace. Let there be wisdom.

Pooja. Prasad. Prasang.

Celebrating wisdom of Lord Raghuram on Day 1 at Dhalpur Maidan.

Hundreds of souls still no indiscipline. Hats off to Kullu Police.

Glittering rides at Dhalpur Dusshera Maidan
